SIZES - Posters

  • Medium:     sizes vary from 18 x 27" to 20 x 26"
  • Large:         sizes vary from 30 x 36" to 31 x 40"
  • X-Large:     sizes vary from 40 x 52" to 40 x 60"

    SIZES - Collections, Series and Original Art

    • There are no standard sizes. We've done our best to measure them, but even that is a best-guess type of thing. Some prints are torn or were cut with wonky knives so it's hard to be accurate. All measurements are approximations.

    SIZES - Photography

    Photo sizes vary from landscape to horizontal aspect. All photos will be formatted to a canvas size of 18x24" with a white border around each image making each photograph suitable for framing. Solvent photo grade poster paper. Very sturdy 9mm semi gloss paper with an abrasion resistant surface and Epson Eco-solvent inks. Carson embossed logo lower left. Unsigned.

     

    PACKAGING

    • Where does my poster come from?     Each poster is made-to-order by a master printer in San Diego, California. We don't carry a stock of any posters unless we say so in the product description. So, once your order is placed our printer gets hard to work. All posters are sent directly from our printer to you.  
    • How is it printed?     All posters are full bleed. Printed using Canon Lucia archival inks. 300GSM 600MT 50% cotton rag-based textured bright white cold press matte watercolor paper. Acid free and lignin free. Embossed Carson logo at lower left. OR, if you are purchasing a photograph or one of the less-expensive prints, your item will come printed with solvent photo grade poster paper. Very sturdy 9mm semi gloss paper with an abrasion resistant surface and using Epson Eco-solvent inks.
      • How's it all come together?     Posters are packaged in really sturdy cardboard tubes that are designed to withstand a beating. Each piece of art is carefully wrapped front-and-back in craft paper and taped tightly shut. We make sure the piece of art is basically suspended inside the tube with top-and-bottom cushions to prevent the edges being damaged. Our printer has been doing this for years. The system is good. Really good. Original art will not be either rolled-up (unless it's small and we can put it into a tube without compromising the piece. Otherwise, we'll ship it in very sturdy and well-protected flat art boxes designed especially for this purpose.

       

      WHATS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

      If it's within 10 days from the date you received your package and you are not happy with the item you purchased you can return it. Please contact us immediately at: info@davidcarsonart.com, and send the item back to us at: Distracted Artists, LLC. 7486 La Jolla Blvd, #556, La Jolla CA 92037

      To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must include a copy of your order confirmation and be in it's original packaging. We will inspect the piece upon arrival and will get back to you.

       

      MY PIECE IS DAMAGED. WHAT DO I DO?

      First, check the description of the piece you bought. Many pieces come with blemishes, tears, etc. If you feel that your piece is damaged beyond what the description calls for then contact us. If your piece is damaged due to shipping, then please call UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS and file a damage claim immediately, then let us know. You can also file a damage claim online at www.ups.com. Once the claim is approved we will send you a replacement (if applicable). 

       

      LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

      If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.

       

      EXCHANGES (IF APLICABLE)

      We only replace items if they are defective or damaged beyond what we've described about the piece.  We cannot exchange original art or one-offs. You've got a one-of-a-kind there so there's no possible way to exchange it for another one.       You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

      If you are shipping an item back to us, use a trackable shipping service and/ purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item but we will let you know when we do.

       

      RETURNED PACKAGES

      • If your package is undeliverable for any reason it will be returned to us. When we get it we will let you know. Your package will not be held for more than 30 days so please contact us within that time to ensure your order is still here.

      • Where's my order?

        Once a label has been created for your package an email is sent to you from UPS or from us with instructions for tracking your package. Please make sure you add us to your contact list and/or check your junk email folder if you haven't received an email.

        You are responsible to make sure you receive your order. If it has been three weeks since you placed your order and you still have not received it please contact us immediately by sending an email to: info@davidcarsonart.com. Please provide your Order ID Number and the name as it appears on the order to expedite our reply to you.

        If your package was returned to us we will make 2 attempts to contact you via at the email address on your order. If you do not respond to our emails, and it has been more than 30 days from our first attempt, your package might get tossed due to lack of storage.

       

      DOMESTIC SHIPPING

      • Who?     We ship by UPS. Everything is tracked.
      • How much does it cost?     $25 flat fee for up to 2 pieces of art anywhere in the US. For larger orders, we will charge more, but we'll arrange that with you first. 
        • Can you ship my order to another address?     No.
        • Do you ship to a post office address?     No.
        • How long does it take to receive my order?     Depends. Orders are typically shipped within 10 days. However, if you've asked for a signed print (and one isn't in stock) then we have to ship the print to the artist for signature, have him ship it back to us and then we ship it on to you.  This can take considerably longer so please be patient.  You will receive shipping and tracking information via email. 

         

        INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

        • Do you ship to my country?     Yes!  But only to actual addresses, not Post Office boxes etc. 
        • What shipper do you use?     UPS. Everything is tracked.
        • CANADA.     $50 flat fee for posters and smaller pieces (up to 2 pieces of art) anywhere in Canada. For larger orders and originals we will charge more, but we'll arrange that with you first
        • REST OF THE WORLD.     Flat fee for international orders is $75.00 for up to 2 pieces of art (posters and smaller pieces). For larger orders and for original art we'll sort that out with you (contact us first). Additional payment of duties and taxes will be required by your country upon delivery. That's all on you, not us. Time in transit is longer for international shipments than domestic shipments. Please allow up to 21 business days for delivery of items in stock, out of stock items will take much longer. And, if your piece requires a signature then add on more time to that. Duties and taxes will be charged at the time of delivery along with a surcharge from UPS. We will not refund your order if you refuse to pay the fees to accept your package from UPS. If you do not accept your package from UPS it will not be returned to us and/or might be abandoned by UPS.

              MISTAKES/ERRORS  

              • Every now and then we might make an error by listing something twice, for the wrong price or whatever else. Mistakes happen. We'll do our best to remedy the situation for the benefit of all parties involved. But if errors happen, we settle it, not you. That said, we reserve the right to retract or cancel a sale if we deem it was the result of an error, omission or a computer glitch. 

              WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS

              ANY PRODUCT PROVIDED THROUGH THIS WEBSITE IS PROVIDED SOLELY ON AN “AS IS” BASIS AND DISTRACTED ARTISTS LLC MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DISTRACTED ARTISTS LLC SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

              LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

              TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT NOR UNDER ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OF THEORY OF LIABILITY, SHALL DISTRACTED ARTISTS LLC BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRODUCT PURCHASED FROM DISTRACTED ARTISTS LLC (“DISTRACTED ARTISTS PRODUCT”), INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF VALUE OF THE DISTRACTED ARTISTS PRODUCT OR ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS THAT ARE USED WITH THE DISTRACTED ARTISTS PRODUCT, OR LOSS OF USE OF THE DISTRACTED ARTISTS PRODUCT OR ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS THAT ARE USED WITH THE DISTRACTED ARTISTS PRODUCT, EVEN IF DISTRACTED ARTISTS LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY DAMAGES THAT YOU MIGHT INCUR FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ALL DAMAGES REFERENCED HEREIN AND ALL DIRECT OR GENERAL DAMAGES IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE), THE ENTIRE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF DISTRACTED ARTISTS LLC SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE DISTRACTED ARTISTS PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.
